In step 4, the wiring directions don't include any annotation for the orange wire, which is to be connected to the brake light, according to the wiring diagram.

I think it'd be more effective to demo how the tail lights and turn signals interact if you used a demo bike with more conventional turn signals, instead of the integrated units.
